Who we are

BMS Skills Academy Ltd is a UK limited company, registered at Companies House, providing practical training in building management systems (BMS).

Our focus is real-life BMS skills. Our courses are about practical BMS engineering rather than manufacturer-specific product training. Candidates work with BMS controllers, control panels, sensors, actuators, relays, plant interfaces and communications devices similar to those found on live projects.

The aim is not simply to explain how BMS equipment works. Candidates are expected to physically test, prove, diagnose and document BMS installations.

How we train

• Classroom sessions introduce the principles; a large part of every course is hands-on practical work
• Candidates read drawings, use a multimeter, trace circuits, work with controllers and I/O, and find deliberately introduced faults
• Assessment runs throughout the course: practical exercises, technical questioning, knowledge checks, fault-finding and commissioning documentation, finishing with a final practical competency assessment
• Safe working practice always takes priority over completing an exercise
