Building Management System training
KNOW IT. PROVE IT. COMMISSION IT.
Practical skills. Real-world results. BMS Skills Academy trains engineers to test, prove, diagnose and document real BMS installations — not just explain how the equipment works.
The company
A UK limited company focused on practical, real-life BMS pre-commissioning training rather than manufacturer-specific product training.
About BMS Skills Academy →Courses
Starting with the four-day BMS Pre-Commissioning Course, delivered online: work through it day by day and module by module, with a virtual fault-finding simulator.
See the courses →Online learning
A separate online course area, structured day by day and module by module, with a virtual fault-finding simulator.
Open the online area →What is BMS pre-commissioning?
Pre-commissioning is the process of checking and proving that the BMS installation is ready for full software and functional commissioning: panels installed correctly, controllers and I/O operational, field wiring correctly terminated, sensors giving sensible readings, outputs operating the intended equipment and networked devices communicating.
A pre-commissioning engineer forms the link between the physical BMS installation and final system commissioning.
“Don't assume it works. Prove it.”

Four days, one method
The course progresses from individual BMS components through to the pre-commissioning of a complete simulated system.
