Online learning
Pre-Commissioning Course — online
Work through the course day by day and module by module. Each module opens into short lessons drawn from the course notes, followed by key takeaways. Practical fault finding moves online through the virtual fault-finding simulator.
Enrolled delegates only
Course days and the simulator are for enrolled delegates. Log in with the username and password you were sent. Opening a course day or the simulator takes you to the log-in page first. Not enrolled yet? Make an enquiry.
Course forum
Ask questions and discuss the course with other delegates on this course. The forum is only visible to delegates enrolled on this course and to BMS Skills Academy staff.

Virtual fault-finding simulator
Simulated BMS installations with a hidden fault: Day 2 hardwired and Day 3 RS-485 / Modbus packs for the standard course (AHU panel with field devices, points schedule, BMS front-end readings and a multimeter). Use the multimeter (V, Ω and mA), a 0–10 V / mA signal injector and the wiring drawing, prove cables end to end on the continuity range (beep with the Ω reading, mute toggle; blocked on live circuits) — join the far end with a temporary test link (strap) or pull the cores into a lever connector block, then test from the panel end, take the join off and confirm OL; a wander lead extends the black probe to the field device for single-core and core-to-earth checks — then work through Identify → Prove → Verify → Restore → Record and get scored feedback; your attempts are saved on your device.
Included with the online course for enrolled delegates.

Theory modules are available here to study at your own pace, and practical fault finding is practised in the virtual fault-finding simulator. Online delegates are assessed through end-of-module assessments and a final multiple-choice exam. [PLACEHOLDER: online course price / access terms]
